Featured On – Nature Writing and Presenting

Discussing autumn wildlife with John Gillmore on BBC Radio Lancashire

As part of Nature Talks and Walks, I’ve been lucky enough to work with a wide range of wildlife media.

I started in 2012 in our local town of Bolton, by appearing in the Bolton News for our launch.

We were then invited onto our local radio station Bolton FM to discuss the huge diversity of life we can find right in the centre of our town. This turned into a monthly slot on the Community Corner show to talk all things nature.

I have also worked with local BBC Radio stations as a wildlife expert and appeared on BBC 5 Live.

Since then I’ve been a wildlife presenter on my website, Youtube and have featured on several television channels. These include ITV, Channel 4 and BBC.

For the BBC, I appeared on The One Show to demonstrate the natural recovery after the Winter Hill Fire of 2018.

For other examples of my work, you can choose from anyone of the radio stations below

Nature Writing:

  • Bolton News Nature Notes
  • Lancashire Walks and Wildlife
  • Waterways World Magazine

Wildlife Presenting:

  • Bolton FM Community Corner
  • BBC Radio Lancashire
  • BBC Radio Manchester
