My name is Russell Hedley and I lead the wildlife events of Nature Talks and Walks.
Growing up in the North West town of Bolton, I was always very keen to use any free time to head out to my local patch to find whatever wildlife I could.
In my career I have worked at several wildlife organisation and charities.
These include the Lancashire Wildlife Trust, the Wetlands and Wildfowl Trust, Blackpool Zoo as Education Officer and Wetheriggs Animal Centre in Penrith as Head of Education.
My passion for wildlife stretches across the whole ecosystem and I find nothing more enjoyable than sharing my love of nature.
By setting up Nature Talks and Walks, I aim to:
Create a friendly, knowledgeable and professional environment where both children and adults can learn about British Wildlife.
- Offer a thorough range of topics that cover all aspects of the Science Curriculum for Key Stage 1 & 2
- Increase local awareness of conservation and natural issues
