Scouts and Guides – Environment Badges

From the smallest acorn grows the mightiest oak.Nature Talks and Walks offer scouts and guides the opportunity to acquire brand new badges!

These are acquired whilst enjoying the fresh air, learning about the North-West’s environments and having lots of fun in the process.

By choosing from the selection below, you can create your own unique session depending on what badge you’re focusing on and which badges you’d really like to get.

The badges we cover are:

  • The cheeky grey squirrel can be easily attracted into our gardens with a bit of food.Artist’s Badge
  • Environment Badge
  • Friends to Animals Badge
  • Gardener Badge
  • Out and About Badge
  • Science Explorer Badge
  • Seasons Badge
  • Water Safety Badge
  • Wildlife Explorer Badge
  • World Issues Badge

Before each event we send you completed risk assessment forms and a guarantee of well-being for all members whilst being outside.

Offering nesting material is a great help for nesting birds like this blue tit.

Heading into the great outdoors is great for getting your kids to relate to and react with nature.

At the heart of our Environment Badge walks is the passion to pass on a love of the outdoors in the next generation.

Demonstrating what fantastic animals and plants are out there helps your kids keep healthy and inquisitive.

It also helps the group as a whole by increasing your badge count and by becoming a pillar of knowledge and responsibility to the nature world in your local community.
