In this school session, we head out into the countryside on the lookout for Britain’s animals.
From insects to birds and everything in between, we’ll discover what makes them all different and how you can identify each if you find them in the school grounds!
In the ‘World of Animals’, we’ll cover:
- Identification of different animal groups (mammal, bird, fish etc)
- Recognition of common British animals
- Definitions and examples of common British herbivores, carnivores and omnivores
- What makes each animal group (mammal, bird etc) different from the others
Our school nature walks run for approximately one hour and can take place within the school ground or further a field in surrounding countryside. For details on our other Key Stage 1 walks, click here.
