Last year we took part in Wigan Council’s Eco Fair, which invited schools from across the borough to celebrate everything green and environmentally friendly in wigan’s primary schools. So we were delighted to have teamed up again this year, and the event went down a storm!
Held at Proco’s Montrose Skills Hub, the events featured various organisations besides Nature Talks and Walks such as Lancashire Wildlife Trust, Greater Manchester Police and the Canal and Rivers Trust. The response from the schools was fantastic and it was great to see so many familiar faces.
The centre keeps a wide range of domestic and exotic animals. Kept in immaculate conditions, this offers the perfect opportunity for students to learn all about animal husbandry and conservation.
Finally, a big congratulations go to St John’s C.E. Primary School for winning the competition! They’ve won a FREE nature walk for their Green Day 2014, well done!
